Because from a TV money standpoint, those schools add nothing. Not to mention, they would water down the competition.

It's all about the TV markets these days.

Since when? I see a mention from 2013 over player stipends, but not a peep since.

Only to a point. The teams in question still have to add something in regards to on-field product. The Big 12 doesn't offer much of anything in regards to markets, anyway, yet they still sit at the grown-ups table.

I used to get a huge laugh on another forum talking about adding UNLV to the Big East/AAC if the need for future expansion arose. Yeah, because you take a team based on a non-existent market with a crap program over the best product out there. Uh, no.

As an Ohio State and Big Ten Fan, my dream would be that we could get Kansas and Oklahoma to join us...give us another football power and a basketball power and put us at 16 teams.

Oklahoma would get their old rivalry w/ Nebraska back (used to be my favorite game outside Ohio State vs that school up north).

It would screw the Big 12 and therefore Texas and the johny come lately TCU and Baylor.

Texas won't be screwed as they would find a conference to go into. TCU and Baylor though, they would be in trouble.

They wouldnt' be allowed to keep their own network and they'd have to split conference revenue if they went into the Pac 12 or SEC as that is what those conferences do....so there fore they'd lose the control they have now.

Texas would be screwed in that they would lose the control over their hoards of cash. It is a different kind of screwed that Baylor and TCU would be.
