Interesting that both Mississippi schools went down in the bowl games.

People mostly hate on the SEC because ESPN continues to drool over them.

People hated on FSU because Jimbo Fisher and his booster buddies continued to drool over getting into the Final Four, regardless of the cost - which included being overprotective of a selfish Jameis Winston.

People now hate on Ohio State because they always drool over themselves!

People will say: OhHowIHateOhioState!

That's because in the South, football is king. That's why SEC fans get so amped up over football, and yet people outside the south get annoyed. Don't hate SEC fans for their passion of the college game.

The SEC game is basically the South's version of the Premiere League championship in England, with Alabama playing the role of Manchester United. The college postseason, then, is like the World Cup. Yes, we're sore losers.

No reason to be dramatic. Or maybe you don't realize how popular college football is outside the south.

It is popular everywhere we have lived, from Los Angeles to Washington DC excpect maybe New Mexico. Still I don't think it is the same even in So. CAlifornia as it is in the south. Not just college ball, but NFL and high school, even middle school. Football is king, queen and everything else.

Whereas in other parts of the country, we realize the importance of going to class, too.

Poor attempt at a hackneyed cheap shot.

Last time I checked, it was a thread about Southeastern Conference football. If you want to start a thread on having a BCS system for academics, I might be game, but let's do it in another forum.

Are you a football player or scholarship athlete? Probably not. So you go to class just like they do at Alabama or Ohio State or Penn State or Florida.
