Outside the P-5 conferences, who is your team?

As a student at the University of North Texas, a member of Conference USA, I bleed [Mean] Green!

Colorado State. Go Rams!

Football, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball had great regular seasons, but all four crapped out big time in the postseason.

UNT 2015 Results:
Football 4-8
Men's Basketball: 14-17
Women's Basketball: 5-24

The girls' non-revenue sports seem to have been doing great though. Soccer, volleyball, now softball - who even upset ranked Baylor in Waco earlier this season.

Ouch. CSU's final records were

Football 10-3
Volleyball 31-3
Men's Basketball 27-7
Women's Basketball 23-7

I'd give up some of those wins for a bowl win, and a deep run in both the NCAA basketball tourneys.

Can we officially call the Big East a mid-major yet?

Do you mean the American Athletic Conference (formerly known as the Big East) or the "new" Big East which doesn't sponsor football and is primarily a basketball-only conference?

FWIW the American is a mid-major now as it's no longer guaranteed access to the playoff system and is part of the "Group of Five" conferences that include the MAC, Sun Belt, C-USA, & Mountain West.
