Totally in agreement!

New Mexico Bowl was a thriller.

Utah almost choked epicly, but hung on.

They scored basically all their points in the first quarter and then the offense basically went to sleep after that. But those last two first downs were key, they stopped BYU when they had to. That was Bronco Mendenhall's last game coaching the Cougars. Their club looked like they didn't even belong on the field but give the coach credit for rallying thje Cougars during the second half.

They've called this football rivalry the Holy War for a long time, as have Notre Dame vs Boston College. My understanding is that the beer concessions didn't do very well during the game at Sin City!

It'd be great if these teams could somehow continue their rivalries into the future.

As opposed to the Irish vs BC tilt when the pop stands run out of beer by the end of the first half and the PD riot squad is on stand by.

Oh my.....BYU was far better than the Utes, they literally handed the game to them in the first quarter.
what a hollow victory for utah

rivalry games are always fraught with strange things happening. utah/byu was no different and neither was ua/nm.

arizonas season issues were pretty much due to a lot of injuries, especially on the defensive side of the ball. wright was out for a number of games, and we had a lot of injuries to linebackers and defensive backs, so we were pretty thin in those positions.

and of course with solomon having issues with concussions this year, and being kept out of games to recover, it threw the offense into chaos.

in the end however az and utah upheld their part of the deal by winnign the first two pac12 bowl games. i doubt the pac12 will go 10-0 though.

Las Vegas Bowl: BYU vs. Utah (Holy War in Sin City). Kind of ironic these 2 playing each other in Las Vegas of all places??
Camellia Bowl: Ohio vs. Appalachian State. No idea
Cure Bowl: San Jose State vs. Georgia State. And of Georgia State loses, 2 teams playing in the same bowl will both finish with losing records! If that doesn't say "there's too many bowl games" I don't know what does.
New Orleans Bowl: Arkansas State vs. Louisiana Tech. Could be an exciting game.

A disappointing 2-3 on the first day hoping to get back to .500 with Western Kentucky over USF. Hilltoppers have been great, and a chance for a 12 win season is within reach.
