2. Watson is another stud; single-handedly kept Clemson in this, on offense!
3. Clemson's DE's are the best DL tandem I've seen in over 20 years! (Cats from the U of the 80s, and Copeland and Curry of Bama in the early 90s!).
4. Clemson's DB's and special teams dropped da ball, last night! Coker looked like Brady and Rodgers, last night!
5. TE Howard's first team All-America, next year!
6. Next year may be THE most competitive Heisman race of alltime, with Henry, Watson, Fournette and McCaffrey! (no word on any of them going to Da Show!)
.....Oh, and Lane Kiffin has now truly earned his qualifications!!!!!!!!!
This season, IMO, was better than the last. Four straight weeks of miracles. Clemson actually had an unbeaten regular season for once. But that onside kick decided the national title game IMO.
And now for a long offseason. *sigh* At least there's still a tiny bit of NFL football to go.
And it won't be until late July or Early August that the 2016 College Football Season thread is made.
Also, Lane Kiffin got left behind after the title game. It's not the first time his team has left him in Phoenix.
Lane Kiffen being left behind is a far bigger story than it should be. He caught a ride with Saban WHO ALSO MISSED THE BUS. Because he always usually does, so no story there. Leave it to some lame media types to jump on a non story in an attempt to find something to roll their eyes about on this Alabama juggernaut that they wish would stop or go away. Kiffen didn't get left behind to take an Uber or ride with some students, he rode with The Head Football Coach Nick Saban.
He didn't miss the plane though. They just landed here a little while ago.
(Scroll down about halfway for the chart for all games.)
Seems to paint a different picture than the doom-and-gloom scenario that says that bowls are an endangered species because of the CFP. The one I attended, the Texas Bowl, had an attendance record of 71,307 (5th highest), while others saw big increases from the previous bowl season. The most disappointing was probably the Holiday Bowl (maybe the Pac-12 could have stepped in and prevented a repeat bowl appearance in San Diego for the Trojans). The article was probably unfair to Washington St. and Miami (El Paso is convenient to neither state, and the weather there was the polar opposite of the game's namesake, thanks to Winter Storm Goliath).
