Scat, I'm a big Shaw fan..

And I like that he publicly advocated for his player McCaffrey. Back in early December when asked about McCaffrey, Shaw stated McCaffrey is the best player in the country, "its not even a debate".
After the regular season (& Rose Bowl) all-purpose yardage records McCaffrey put up, to me Shaw looks both prophetic & vindicated.. even tho McCaffrey wasn't ultimately awarded the Heisman. /peace/

Shaw would be a fool to take the 49er job after the way York and Baalke treated Harbaugh..

An argument can be made about Harbaugh's part that drove him out of SF!

With that said, Stanford IS a known 'stepping stone' to the 49ers. But Chip might be in the convo, as well as Holmgren, versus Shaw!
