I doubt that. Texas energy money, man. Some of the deepest pockets around. If not the deepest, among those that would care enough to do it for college football.

I think his seat is warm but not hot. Next year if he loses more than 4 games I think they'll let him go.

In case you haven't heard (), oil is WAY down, and A&M AD is "mortgaged" up to the hilt to the tune of almost a half billion for their stadium renovation & expansion, not to mention the $30,000,000 they had to borrow over the last few years from the university to help out with their shortfalls. And what with Sumlin's $20,000,000 buyout, they do have a serious financial problem - plus the possibility of declining tickets sales.

And no, the deepest pockets in college football are in Austin, not College Station.


Yep, his seat is definitely warming up pretty fast. No better that 4th or 5th place in the SEC will do that.
