Uh huh.

Alexander said after the game that he believes that he would have made a difference had he been able to stay in the game - who knows. We struggled with 1-2 blown coverages for TDs in several games this year, and also several special teams miscues. We were just always able to overcome them in other facets of the game, and came close to doing that in the championship. But the calling card of Nick Saban-coached teams is exploiting their opponent's weaknesses and making them beat themselves. Giving up 21 gift-wrapped points creates a lot of things for Clemson to work on before attempting another run next year. Great season, great final game. Much respect for Alabama and their achievements over the past seven years, congratulations!

Well from Steve Spurrier's era, it'd be a little strange to not have a few black players on the roster, huh BYU? Huh Stanford?

Yankee just seems to have trouble giving Alabama any credit. Somehow he seems to think we just lucked up and won a national championship. Is that what has been happening over and over these past seven years? Maybe, just maybe, we are really a great football program who finds a way to win important games.

Again as I explained before Alabama`s defense is as advertised. Clemson was the number 1 team with arguably one of the best QBs of all time. Our defense was more than what he has faced all year. Many thought that Oklahoma would have given Clemson a better run but they were not able to do so. All season they have been saying that the spread and no huddle is Alabama`s Kryptonite and was Oklahoma's strength because they play in a spread no huddle conference. Alabama`s defense exceeded what no other defense was bale to do against Clemson this year including Oklahoma which was looked at as the most dominant team of all the top 4. There were a lot of should haves and could haves in that game. If Alabama would have had another QB( we do have better QBs that were on the side line) maybe the game would have had a wider gap or if our kicker would not have missed a couple of field goals then the score would have had a larger gap s well. Maybe if Saban would have put in Bo Scarborough a RB that is said to be faster than Henry he certainly is bigger . With the old 1-2 punch he use to do with 2 bruising backs then just maybe that could have been a lot for the Clemson defense which was top rated as well. Alabama sent one of their starting corners home due to behavior problems. Maybe if he was in the game then just maybe Clemson would not have made both passing TDs.

"As advertised"? Watson was personally responsible for about 500 yards of offense and Clemson kept scoring until time ran out...

Uhhh yeah we beat them right ? We earned it and it wasn't a cake walk against that team a champinship caliber team at that. They did what no other team was able to do and that was to keep Clemson from winning.

I can't think of any QB that is as talented and accurate as Watson this past season. So yeah they came as advertused.

But you said Alabama's defense was as advertised, and it got shredded. Credit to whomever called that onside kick, that one them a national championship.

And how many of them are national championship contenders? Bowl wins are overrated. The reality is Bama is the only team that matters when talking about winning championships

The same could be said regarding all power 5 conferences. The champinaship contenders are actually Bama , Clemson , Oklahoma , and Ohio. The person I was replying to was trying to say that non of the other SEC teams matter and in fact they do just as Michigan for the B1G and North Carolina for the ACC. Inspired not being in the playoffs they are still good teams. Bowl wins are only overrated to those who did not do well in bowl games.
