I've always liked the Sun Bowl.. the scenery of the mountains at the edge of the stadium, etc. It's a mid-level bowl I always seem to watch. And this UNC-Stanford match-up has been pretty good so far.

One complaint/question.. what's up with the field.. it looks like they put no effort in to covering the previous lettering. The Stanford (end zone) paint job is barely covering some other lettering, and mid-field design looks stupid too (?) Anyone know who else was playing there recently (?)

Hmm.

I don’t know what Florida State thinks they are going to be able to do against the best pass defense and third best rush defense. They haven’t seen a defense anywhere near as good and complete as Michigan’s. It’s important to remember that Michigan played some of the best teams in the country -- Colorado, Penn State, Wisconsin, Ohio State -- and three out of four were in the Big Ten. That kind of bubble allows people to forget Michigan’s defense would be even more dominant in every other conference. I think this game turns out a lot like last year’s Citrus bowl where the first quarter was competitive, then Michigan blew it wide open.

Accurate prediction?

Entertaining game last night, but it was clear that Michigan was not a playoff calibre team. While the score may have been close, the battle at the line of scrimmage was not, and the Noles D-Line dominated Michigan all night. They have a lot of speed at all positions and it was obvious that Michigan hadn't seen that level of speed before. I'm not sure how they could have expected to compete against Alabama when FSU was blowing up most of their plays 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

Overhyped, overrated Louisville (and its Heisman QB) lose to LSU in the Citrus Bowl, 29-9.

Congrats to Coach Orgeron.

You don't usually see ABC reporting on a drive-by along the OBT.
