Safe to assume no 13-0 season for the Broncos next year?
they didn't have a 13-0 season this year, either.

I never could understand how posters had them ranked so high when all the national polls had them about 10 spots lower than posters here.

It isn't my opinion, it is just a mathematical formula that awards points for each game based on the quality of the opponent and subtracts losses based on the quality of the opponent.

Obviously there are a few oddities as Penn St. still being ahead of USC, and also Colorado is at 13 while Oklahoma St. is at 14 although OK State just beat Colorado.

I still think they are pretty good rankings considering it is a very simple mathematical formula.
Not too much to argue over, except the couple of obvious head to head differences mentioned above.

If it were my opinion I'd rearrange 6-9 and put USC at 6, Penn at 7, Wisconsin 8, FSU 9.
I think it is a very flawed poll whether mathematics was used or not.

With this flawed poll, the winner of Alabama vs Clemson might not be #1?

Clemson would jump Bama if they were to win.

Penn State was just pretty far ahead of USC due to their tougher schedule. They had wins over a 10-win Temple, an 11-win Ohio State and an 11-win Wisconsin. Also a 9-win Minnesota and an 8-win Iowa. In contrast USC had the win against a 12-win Washington and a 10-win Colorado. Before beating an 11-win Penn State, their next best wins were against two 5-win teams Cal and Arizona State.

It is what it is. It isn't like USC blew Penn State out either. They were very evenly matched so to say because Penn is 8 and USC is 9 somehow makes this system "very flawed" is ridiculous.

"2nd paragraph)......"Penn State was far ahead of USC "

Seems the odds makers didn't believe Penn State was " far ahead of USC "

majority of posters had picked USC to win also.

All right. Time for the national title game picks.

Youngstown State vs. James Madison
(2) Clemson vs. (1) Alabama

Here are my picks.
Youngstown State vs. James Madison (Tossup here. Ain't really been following the FCS.)
Clemson vs. Alabama (While i do think Clemson is not to be underestimated, i think Alabama is going to win the rematch. They are a mile ahead of anyone else, but they're 1/4-1/2 ahead of Clemson.)

James Madison. Nice comeback from Youngstown in the semifinal, but think JMU is the better team.
Alabama over Clemson (picked earlier). I just can't/don't see any team beating Alabama this year. Also, most sequels are worse than the originals (One of the lone exceptions being Home Alone 2), so let's see how the sequel compares to the original last year. My guess?? The original (last year) ends up being a lot better.
