Right, so an expanded playoff schedule is unrealistic for FBS.

8 teams should be the max and conference champions only. You don't win your conference you don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

Better still, split Division I in two. Make the Power 5 conferences 2 conferences with 4 divisions each and make the mid-majors their own division.

You could move some school out of DI like Vanderbilt and that ilk and let them have a legitimate shot at competing in a conference/disision.

I would go for extended playoff if all conferences would drop their championship games. No matter what we the fans want, it appears to be all about money these days.

Call me crazy but I kinda like the 4 team format. Keeps the regular season ultra-relevant and creates a unique kind of competitive tension around not wanting to be the team left out. But as a college football junkie, I certainly wouldn't complain about more games... 🏈

Expanded playoffs will water down the regular season. I don't want to see college football become like major league sports- where being the best team over the course of a season means nothing. If you are not in the top 4- don't whine, and try again next season.

Very simple solution is to drop a regular season game. They used to play eleven, now they all play 12.

Regular season of 11 games plus CC = 12

Then teams in the playoffs play 15 max if they are the two playing in the NCG.

Clemson and Bama each played 15 last season.

It is ridiculous to act like it can't be done. Especially when it would be EASY to do.

.........."every other sport in the NCAA "..

Football is...not like..."any other sport "

Basketball tournament has teams playing twice in the same weekend .
Baseball and softball tournaments have teams playing on consecutive days
