Texans really have to be happy College Football is back! I don't live in Texas but I'm very happy College Football season has started. It's nothing like college football camaraderie.

Texas A&M beat UCLA on Saturday.
Houston beat Oklahoma on Saturday.
TCU beat South Dakota State on Saturday.
Baylor beat Northwestern State on Friday.
However, the Thriller was on Sunday tonight, Texas beating Notre Dame.

Am taking it one game at a time for UT.

Don't care what the others are doing.

Texas college rankings

Best in Texas (9/5): Houston is the unanimous No. 1; how high did Texas climb after upsetting Notre Dame?

Houston is gonna recruit like crazy, especially since it is so easy to get into compared to some other schools.

Celebration starting after Swoopes' winning TD...

The Longhorns definitely played inspired football. Notre Dame is a really good team and beating them tells me this team may finally be back.

I started out rooting for the Irish and kind of found myself switching allegiances as the game went on. The 2 quarterback system that Texas was utilizing looks like something to stick with. Doing this seldom works, but I think it might here.

Texas and ND both might have a long year with those defenses they brought to that game.

Could be true. Maybe both offenses were that good.

The next few games for both teams will be interesting to see what the case really is.

Texas had one of their worst defenses ever last year - ranked what, 112th? Maybe a slight improvement this season - they'll need to get better with all the good QBs they're gonna face. At least the Horns seem to have an offense, but we'll see if it holds up.

In the meantime.....

Charlie does surf....
