Washington escapes UCLA tonight...too close for comfort. Still in command for a Pac-12 north championship with Oregon and Stanford to come. (Stanford struggling tonight as well, likely to lose to Utah) And is Oregon State not the worst team in the Pac-12? Now 1-5 after losing to Washington State tonight?

The only time PAC 12 gets a win is when they play each other.

Stanford lost by 20 at home to Utah?? Jesus! Looks like Pac 12 will be left out of the playoff AGAIN!

Not necessarily. If Washington runs the table they will be considered. They are the Pac 12's best hope right now, though Colorado is undefeated, but with a lessor strength of schedule. Washington still has some challenges, mainly against Oregon and Stanford.

I left something out of this. For Washington to be considered, a couple of teams will need to lose a game. And Auburn losing two doesn't help Washington.

I never liked this playoff system even when my alma mater makes it, so I don't mind at all when we give it a miss. The old bowl game system was better anyway; at least half the teams left feeling good about themselves, and there was a lot more tradition to the events.

A classic Oregon-Washington game this afternoon. Tied after every quarter, OT and Oregon steals the win. Such is college football, and both teams will probably be near each other in next weeks poll. That said, this is a disaster for Washington as they won't be able to win the Pac-12 north unless they win out from here, and Oregon loses another conference game. Any hope of a playoff for the Huskies is probably gone as Auburn has now lost 3 games, much reducing the strength of schedule argument.
