Well this week just became 2007 all over again! This opens the door for the Mountaineers if they win out IMO.

This week

1Alabama
2Ohio State
3Louisville
4Michigan

5Clemson
6Washington
7West Virginia
8Wisconsin
9Penn State
10Colorado

I have no idea what it will look like.. but I'd be surprised to see Louisville higher than Clemson considering they've got a H2H loss to them.

The top 4 right now.. I wouldn't be surprised to see it remain the same. Though, Probably Washington falls out.

Who gets the #4? Ohio State or Louisville.. I'd say probably Louisville. They are the darling of the world right now. And don't think that Louisville wouldn't have a shot against Alabama.. Mobile QB.. Alabama has problems with them. I think the experience factor would give it to Alabama, but again.. Probably a good game just like last year.

The lack of a conference title game is going to hurt West Virginia, unless you have the ACC, Big Ten and Pac 12 champions all with 2 losses.

If I had to guess the criteria...
I think the committee will take Conference Champ under consideration first.
Second, who did you beat
Third, Strength of Schedule
Fourth, if you lost who did you lose to

Neither will likely have the first part.

Onto who did they beat...
If Ohio St. wins out they will have four wins:
At Oklahoma (Okie could be Big 12 Champ)
At Wisconsin (Wisconsin could be Big Ten Champ)
Nebraska (Top 15)
Michigan (Top 10)

Louisville
Win at Home against FSU.
Win Houston.

Third..
OSU is 31 Louisville is 64

Fourth...
Ohio State Lost to Penn St. Top 10 team
Louisville lost to Clemson Top 5 team.

If Ohio State beats Michigan, Louisville won't take the top 4 spot

I think that is a moot point.

Unless Louisville stages a massive comeback here tonight.

Yep. Louisville is done. Even if they had won tonight, they would still need to win the ACC to get into the playoff.

Louisville has some nice skilled players. I'm not even sure Jackson could be a consistent stat machine with another schedule.

But It is very clear they couldn't handle UH front 7. If they would have made the playoff I don't know how they hold up against Alabama, Ohio St., Washington, UM.
