Parity in NCAA Bowl Subdivision (teams, programs, Big 12, Ten)

Does anyone else see an increase in parity in terms of conferences since the realignment phase has happened? Of course there's still the SEC, Big Ten, ACC and Big 12 but with recent bowl success by mid-majors like the Sun Belt and Mountain West revenues to those conferences increases exponentially and with it better facilities, more recruitment opportunity and the premise of guaranteed playing time on TV versus riding the bench at one of the "big time" programs. Of course the "system" needs to recognize the better teams that continue to win over time and begin rewarding that consistency with rankings versus ignoring them until they're 10-2 at the end of the regular season. Thoughts?

Good points. Parity and subsequent success will happen when there's consistency from more teams such as Boise State, to name one. And, hey, let's not forget the Pac-12!

The only issue with this notion of FBS parity is that this past season all of the wins for non-major schools came against....you guessed it, other non-major schools. It's not really parity if they're just beating up on each other. Now when Boise was beating the likes of Oklahoma a few years back yes you could make the assertion that the gap was closing but one non-major beating a football father does not parity make.
