Wow it has been a while since I’ve put anything one here. New job has kept me away from my laptop.

#12 West Virginia improves to 4-0 today after a scary comeback effort from #25 Texas Tech. Will Grier three for 370 and 3TDs, and no picks with a mostly 1st half performance. The Defense was able to get 3 interceptions including a game sealing puck six! The EERS are now 2-0 in Big 12 play and will host Kansas next week.

Let’s Gooooooooo!!!!!

Belated congrats. Got back home late yesterday, and it's become difficult to post on mobile for some reason.

Anyway, don't let anyone say that the win isn't impressive. All victories in front of hostile crowds are good (and there are many in this conference), and Tech was just coming off a road triumph in Stillwater.

They are for the most part a complete team. Arguably more so than any team West Virginia has had since the Rich Rod era (that leaves a bad taste in ones mouth). One factor that people have to take into account is just how many weapons this offense has. The first 4 WRs could all play on Sundayís, we have 4 solid Running backs, a slot guy that has proven to be an excellent target at times, and to top it all off actual TEs!!! The defense isnít the best weíve had, in fact two and three years ago we had some excellent defensive teams. They will do just enough to keep the offense where they need to be.

We understand completely here in WV how difficult it is to go on the road and beat any Big 12 team! Texas Tech started out flat, but if they would have came out like they did verse OKST, then we would be talking about how bad Texas Tech beat the EERS. Instead, WVU gets the benefit of beating a ranked conference team on the road and a huge target on their back with a top ten ranking.

Hope TT has a good rest of the season and takes down some conference foes for us on our journey to the conference title game!

Chris, I appreciate your WVU posts..

I'm curious, do u like WVU in the Big 12 (?) I know conferences aren't as regional as they used to be, but it still seems like a weird fit to me (?) Did WVU, or the ACC ever show any mutual interest ?

The best fit for West Virginia has always been the ACC. During the great conference realignment of 2011 WVU wanted to go to the ACC, but was snubbed by the Tobacco Road elites because we are too hillbilly for them. WVU also probed the SEC, but they didnít seem interested either. At the time our AD Oliver Luck has a lot of connections with the Big 12, so they welcomed us with open arms. It might not be the best fit, but most fans would agree that we have embraced the conference and I believe the rest of the Big 12 has done the same for us! I personally love the Big 12, but I regret that we didnít expand two years ago. Two teams further east would have really made WVUís stay in the Big 12 easier. Either way, we arenít going anywhere unless the SEC comes calling, which I doubt happens!
