That was a heckuva game, with both QBs shining. Props to Holg’s decision to go for two. When UT scored our last td, I knew we left Grier too much time.
Lordy, those refs were terribly incompetent- calling bogus penalties on both teams (4th down spot & review, the unwarranted ejection of the WV player for a phantom “punch”).
Even the unsportsmanlike flag on Grier after the 2 pointer was pretty dumb - his “horns down” taunt was the result of an entire year of frustration since breaking his thumb early in last year’s game.
Not much defense was played on the field though. Lol

Hope the Mountaineers mud hole OU. Their defense sucks worse than Texas’.

Mountaineers pound Horn Frogs today 47-10. Started slow (3-3 until halfway thru 2nd), but they got some turnovers and put up some quick points. Grier didn’t have a great day (only pick not his fault), but still threw for 340 and 3 TDS. David Sills snagged his 12 TD and Jennings his 10th. Run game was good enough with 160 plus yards and 3 TDS, and McCoy had a long TD run. Defense was much improved from last week, but this hurt TCU team struggled offensively. Patterson is a class act, and I wish the Frogs the best trying to make a bowl.

WVU is now 8-1 and in control of their own destiny for a conference title game. Up next, the Pokes in Stillwater. This has trap written all over it! If we can escape that, we will have a huge showdown with OU. Let’s not look past OSU, and let’s continue doing what we’ve been doing!

Let’s Gooooooooo!!!!!!!

Unfortunately the EERS fall in Stillwater today. It came down to Will Grier and the ball with 2 seconds left in the red zone. Desperate pass attempt to Sills was broken up with zero on the clock. Disappointing loss considering that we were up 31-14 at half. Congratulations to OSU for their hard fought come from behind victory. We are now officially eliminated from playoff contention, but the Big 12 is still obtainable. Hope we can bounce back at home with a huge game against OU.

I believe Texas would have to lose to Kansas for WV to make the big 12 title game.

No, West Virginia has to beat OU and then they would be in a three way tie. Then it comes down to who you lost to, and WVU would have beat both Texas and OU, and Texas would get the nod over OU because they beat them.

Oh Sh#$ we left home before the game was over and just assumed WV won. Now, this means everyone of our teams lost yesterday. This isn't making me very happy. WV, USC, SDSU,Iowa State, Colo and let's not forget the sad AR Hogs.

Texas is going to have its hands full getting by Kansas. The Jayhawks put up 40 against OU.
But if we do, i’ll Take either the sooners or your Mountaineers in this ridiculous CCG.

If Texas beats Kansas, they are in the big 12 title game. In that event, the winner of the WV-OU game is the other team.

it only goes to that tiebreaker if Texas loses to Kansas and WV beats OU.
