It was a meaningless game when they scheduled it. The playoffs made all the rest meaningless.

Clemson with the beatdown of the Irish. Not all undefeated teams are created equally...

I'm starting to feel bad for Notre Dame fans. How many times can you get your hopes up to have them come crashing down on top of you?

............big snip..............

This is college football: there aren't birthrights handed out due to conference affiliation. Its the best four teams/programs we are after. Notre Dame clearly is one of those four. Henceforth, they will be playoff'ing. Its really not that complicated beyond that.
Notre Dame, once again, shows they don’t belong. Ara is dead, Lou is retired, and they aren’t relevant except in name only.

Sooners are getting smoked. I hate to say it, but a Bama-Georgia rematch probably should have happened.

The committee made a mistake in its selections this year.

It seems the Top 2 teams are much better than the rest of the field most years. We've had a lot of blowouts.

Oregon def. Florida State 59-20
Clemson def. Oklahoma, 37-17
Alabama def. Michigan State, 38-0
Clemson def. Ohio State, 31-0
Clemson def. Notre Dame 30-3

The only real competitive semi-final games were OSU vs Bama 2014 and last year's Rose Bowl.

I did not pick low winners. In the words of Ronnie Reagan, "well, I forgot "

Both of today's blowouts have been boring

I am going to check out the games on Monday. The Tupperware container Bowl between Nevada State and Florida Tech looks good.

Have to give credit to Oklahoma for fighting to the end. But that defense is horrible.
