What's the excuse going to be for the SEC media now?? They should've been in the playoffs so they didn't care about this game?? They thought this game was a joke?? Their season ended on December 2 when they were announced as the 5th seed just missing the playoffs??
Yup. Already hearing these exact excuses from the Georgia fans this morning. Alabama fans talk smack...and have the hardware to back it up. Georgia fans are really starting to get annoying. They got whipped. It is what it is. UGA is good, but on par with Alabama or Clemson, they are not nor have they been yet.

OK? What does that have to do with the fact that Georgia was complaining they were left out and then proceeded to lose to a 4 loss Texas team?

Thank God UCF lost.. I did not want to hear that for another year.. Even though, yeah, they barely lost, had a backup QB and somehow put 32 points on the board on 250 yards in 15 minutes Time of Possession.

If I were a coach, I'd begin every season by telling my players what crap they're not allowed to say or tweet.

Georgia is likely a better team on paper, but they were way too arrogant for their own good and rightfully were pantsed by Texas. I hate Alabama almost as much as I hate ISIS and Nazis, but you have to give Saban his props. He doesn't put up with that nonsense out of his players.

Georgia was tougher on Twitter than they were on the Superdome field.
(Ok - I stole that line)

But seriously, Texas won’t be a top tier team for a couple of years until Herman gets all his guys in and build some depth.

I've been seeing the term "pantsed" a few times now.

I've always heard it as depantsed.

Live long enough, and we'll see and hear it all, I guess.

https://sports.yahoo.com/title-game-...214530894.html

Ticket prices for the title game can be had for a relatively cheap price. Not really all that surprising. Clemson and Alabama are pretty regional schools and the game is being played on the other side of the country.

My guess is that those who bought tickets and hoped to make nice profits on a re-sale are going to be disappointed and we could even see some empty seats.

I work with alum who attend every Clemson home and bowl game.. They went to Dallas.. Not going to San Francisco. And.. Clemson is one of the best traveling schools. I'd say.. Being in the National Championship game 3 times in 4 years is just stretching the finances of some.

Airfare from GSP is running somewhere around $1600.

They wound up flying out of Atlanta to Dallas for that game because prices from GSP were so high.

SF is too expensive of a market for fans to attend, especially on late notice.

I tend to think that this is more fake news. Somehow, it has made it's way into sports.
