Last year, all of the conferences were weak.
They aren't the best conference top to bottom. The SEC might have two of the best teams - Alabama and Georgia - but it's not the best overall conference.

I am a Gator fan (UF) and am curious as to how Georgia will respond to the beatdown they got from Texas. It also suggests Texas is on momentum going into this season.

To be fair, I am cofident Georgia will annihilate Notre Dame much as Clemson did.

By that logic, schools in Southern California and Hawaii should have the best programs in the country, year in and year out. They don't.

People are picking Texas to win the B12. With that, they could contend for the CFP. But everything hinges on whether Ehrlinger plays well or not.

I agree that UGA will beat down ND, especially at home.

UGA only squeaked by ND a couple of years ago with a better team than they probably have this year and ND has a better QB this year than they had 2 years ago.

It is the best conference year in and year out, and it's not even close.

There have been times in the last 5 or 6 years when the SEC East was worse than every other P5 conference or division, but the SEC West was so good that the SEC still averaged out to being the best.

At the same time, the notion that the Big 10 will always be the worst conference is ridiculous.
