I noticed this too. He seems very mature for his age. He seems very likeable by his team. I think he the real deal Holyfield.

Trevor Lawrence reminds me of Johnny Unitas; the face, the eyes, the totally fearless confident ownership of the field of play before him.

We have a lot of good football coming our way in the future, let's hope these kids stay healthy and don't do anything stupid off the field.

There is of course a lot of hype right now after Clemson's crushing defeat of Alabama. I saw one tweet from an NFL scout that said this about Trevor: "could be the best NFL draft prospect ever" by the time he leaves Clemson.

But Tiger fans should be able to enjoy this ride for a couple more years. With superstar tailback Travis Etienne and emerging star wideouts Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross, they will have an explosive offense. Add defensive coordinator, Brent Venables and the Clemson D will be tough to beat.

The question is will Clemson face Alabama again in another rematch in 2020?

Not really.. Etienne could very well make a case.

Murray will be back in the conversation.. Tua likely will as well, however.. Honestly, I think a blueprint has been given for him. Next year will likely be much tougher for him.

Many leagues issue their MVP (which is basically what the Heisman is) prior to the start of the postseason. Or, I should say, they only consider the regular season in selection.

To think that Syracuse(finished 15th in the nation) gave Clemson its toughest game of the season.

Some A&M aggies are making that claim too.
It seems they think a “narrow” loss to Bama or Clemson is better than a win in any other conference. Coattails & all that. Lol

Both those games had extenuating circumstances, and I think if either of those games were played in November rather than September.. They likely wouldn't have been as close as they were.

The A&M game, Lawrence and Bryant were still shuffling, plus it was in College Station. Tough place to play no matter what. Syracuse, half the game was played with the third string QB.

I tell you, though.. If Brice didn't pull that game out.. I'm not sure Clemson makes the playoffs. Probably still do, but there'd be a whole lot more guessing about it than there was.
