Those must have been all the aggies slinking out of Kyle Field after 27-25.

Seriously, A&M has been the agricultural school since 1876. ‘Nuff said. UT has never been noted for redneckiness.

It came down to money - which the Big 12 cannot come close to compared to what they get in the SEC. The difference in 2018 was about $8M per school.

It was at your team's home stadium, I'm sure.

A&M would beat Texas if they played.

Lol

They are afraid to play Texas. That’s why they ran away from the conference.

You don't know much college football or the South, Eddie.

I get that but that wasn't the point I was trying to make. Had A&M stayed they very likely would have won at least one Big 12 conference title, if not more. With that, they could have qualified for the BCS Championship game or even the current playoff format.

Sure the SEC gives them more money but they left the Big 12 for the SEC West and thus will be playing Alabama and LSU, and Auburn when they decide to wake up from their annual 4 year sleep and be a contender. Not to mention occasionally Georgia.

A&M will get $43 million from the SEC. They would’ve gotten $38.5 million from the B12 if they had stayed.

HOWEVER..... in the B12 they could have sold their Tier 3 rights just like Texas ($15 million annually), OU, and Kansas have been doing for years to make up the difference... and then some.

Plus they would have won the B12 championship with Johnny Football.

But apparently they prefer being mediocre in the SEC just like they were in the B12 and the SWC.

When are they going to change their UT song?
