I'm a Hawkeye fan, BUT they're overrated. Beating a highly overrated Iowa State team (as also evidenced by their showing against Baylor) then barely hanging on against a poor Colorado State team does not a #5 rating deserve.
South Dakota State (a good FCS team) beat up Colorado State on all levels a couple of weeks ago. What does that tell you?
I do believe that Iowa is a top 15 team and this may improve as the season progresses, but for now, overrated.

Agree. They are probably a top 10-15 team. Even though they look dominant against Maryland, that doesn’t mean much. MD always starts the season looking great against the non-power 5 and weaker B10 teams; then when they play the B10’s best they get rolled up by 30-50 pts.
I now this might sound like "Captain Obvious", but going over Iowa's first 5 games, they have given up the ball only 4 times and have taken the ball away 15 times, so if Penn State has any chance of beating them next week in Iowa City, they need to limit their turnovers, don't do a Maryland!
The Hawkeyes played like they were going to quite the doubters of their ranking. Good win.
Good. Keep it up. Prove me wrong.
