As for his football talent, well, it's unbelievable. Florida gave OU plenty of opportunities in the first half, but their defense held tight. The Florida offense took it to OU in the 2nd half and then it was game over.
I didn't see the taunting theroc. Everyone has their weaker moments. I'm not going to disparage the Gators for their win. They proved they are the best team in the NCAA.

I'll root for Tebow, but not if he goes to the AFC East because my Dolphins reside there!

Tebow's unsportsmanlike penalty was for doing the "chomp" towards the fans after a great play. It was not directed at any specific OU player. The guy's an intense competitor and he was pumped up.

It was definitely aimed at one specific player. I thought Tebow was taunting the OU player who said he would be the 4th best QB in the Big XII, or something to that effect prior to the game. It doesn't matter.

It was the Gators team who won the championship and not one single player.

Tebow is a great college qb. He simply won't cut it in the NFL. NFL linebackers will leave him seeing stars. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. Look at all the run and gun qb's that are hyped in college, then a reality called the NFL hits them. Vince Young was reduced to a psychological mess after getting a full dose of playing with all pro caliber competitors.

Seems like a good guy though and I'm sure he enjoyed the night. Congrats Florida fans. Even if its just a paper championship, Florida did their part to get to the big game and win it.

Default Urban Meyer... something is very wrong!

An announcement BEFORE the bowl game that he will no longer coach UF? There has got to be something seriously wrong with his health.

Good riddance......this clears the way for Da Boss of da SEC to come back home. Spurrier wouldn't have let lowly Bama kick the Gators in the teeth like that.

I'm not sure. Maybe it wants to stay in good health so he is deciding to just be at home with his family? If it's a health issue, hopefully he'll be alright, and not serious.

When they first announced it, I thought it was because he was going to Notre Dame. Very sad to hear it's health related but will hold a good thought. He's a fantastic coach.

yeah like UF is going to go after Spurrier. LOL

Bad news for OU fans. UF is probably the only school that I think Stoops would leave OU for. They are both "dream" jobs.

I hope Urban is OK and I hope everything works out great for him and his family. He is an unbelievably great football coach.
