Are you kidding me??? That USC victory over Oklahoma was a thrashing and in no way tainted!!! Even with Auburn being 13-0. They would've suffered the same fate as Oklahoma, they were just lucky not to play USC, so they could still claim an unbeated season. If you recall USC whipped Auburn too in the first game of the previous year.
As an OU fan, that win by USC wasn't tainted at all. We just got our behinds whooped..

I want a rematch this year though...

Angry Rutgers what happen??

If this team has a losing season, stick a fork in the stadium expansion. The season ticket waiting list would vanish, along with thousands of current season ticket holders. Schiano really would only have himself to blame.

The bad news: this year looks like a sure losing season to me. RU will have definite losses on the road to WVU and USF.

Navy, Army, Morgan State, Syracuse look like sure wins.

To go 7-5, Rutgers has to win three out of: Cincy (away), UConn, Louisville, Pitt (away).

That seems improbable. I'd guess RU will wind up 6-6, but to me a 5-7 year looks a lot more probable than a 7-5 year.

Well, the entire argument about USC/Oklahoma/Auburn is really stupid because what it's really about is the unspeakable idiocy of the BCS Championship season. Essentially, what it meant that sportswriters and a bunch of computer programs (which are really programmed according to the inherent biases of the computer programmer) had to choose among three undefeated teams from three very strong conferences to decide which two would play for a national championship. There's absolutely no way to determine who would have played the best game.

Personally, if Auburn had paired up against USC, I'm confident that the Trojans would have won 7 out of 10. However, I'm absolutely certain that Auburn would have played a better game. I knew that Oklahoma was in big trouble because of the fact that it gave up 35 points to both Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. And championship football teams do not give up 35 points to anybody in the regular season. To be fair, Auburn did give up 28 to Tennessee in the SECCG, and USC gave up 28 to Stanford, but those were single games only.

If Auburn had paired up against Oklahoma, I'm pretty confident that Auburn would have won 7 out of 10 against the Sooners.

And if USC had played ten games against the Sooners? USC would have won 9.

But the computers and the sportswriters turned it into a beauty contest, and the final result was a travesty. And I think that we can all agree that the current lunacy is unacceptable to the true fan who really honors competition.

I just can't believe that the Mountain West conference is 4-0 against the PAC 10!! Ha Ha Ha.
That will be really bad for USC if they can't come out undefeated (which I don't think they will)

I don't think UNC is quite as bad as you think. butch davis finally has some of his recruits playing. I think they might go to a bowl this year. recruiting to UNC should be easy. top notch university, beautiful campus, great weather, and close to major cities. so don't feel too bad about rutgers, as I think they lost to a decent team.
