this should be interesting. I am sure some of you know some great running backs that played on the same team. felix jones and darren mcfadden were a great duo. I just found out that auburn had what I consider to be the best. cadilac williams, ronnie brown, and brandon jacobs. that is a monster backfield. jacobs is a beast for the giants now. he couldn't even start for auburn so he transfered to a 1-AA school.

I totally agree with the Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown tandem. I had no idea that Jacobs was 3rd string behind them - good stuff.

How about Reggie Bush and LenDale White at USC.

jacobs did, but he transfered there from auburn. he was a third stringer in 03 I think. he had a 6.2 ypc average with auburn, but didn't like playing backup. he transfered to southern illinois the next year. I would take mcfadden and jones over brown and williams, but if you add jacobs, I would take that bruising backfield.

they were a great tandem in college. I can't figure that team out. so many "stars" on that USC team but none of them really amounted to anything. bush is ok, white isn't good, leinart is a backup, and mike williams is out of football. too bad the lions drafted that loser!

damn, can't believe I forgot that one. that is probably the best of all time if you look at how prolific each back was as a pro.

couple more to consider. garrison hearst and terrell davis. also, willis mcgahee and frank gore. I would actually say that miami has the claim on running back dominance in the NFL right now, and as a gator fan, it kills me. they got gore, james, portis, and mcgahee.
