You have to remember that college football bowl games have always been a reward for a good season. There is no way collages want a plyofff and to eliminate the conference championships that would eliminate. Its not like basketball that the teams can phycially play that number of games.

TTU needs to not just win but kill Baylor today. So far, they're winning 7-0.

^ Damn, too bad for TTU.

On a related football note, KU just scored a last minute TD against MO and is leading 40-37 w/ 27 sec. left in the game. This could be a big upset.

Edit: MO is now driving and just hit a 25-yd pass to KU's 36-yd line. Wow!!

Just seen that, would be one hell of an upset if Kansas can hold on.

While OU, Tech and Texas fight with 1 maybe 2 losses, Mizzu won the North with 3 losses. UGH

Wow, TTU came back from 14 down and beat BU. Good for them. But the margin of victory isn't going to impress anyone.

TCU looked good against Tech. IMO Tech defense lost the second half aginst Texas and they loss on both sides of the line to Oklahoma.I thnik tehy now know what say Texas has gone thru with adding Missouri to the mix.Not easy being at the top with a nimber of big games in a role;but that is what the top is all about. One route and you drop lke a rock.

I think they were out of the hunt after the OU game. Things would have been really interesting if OSU had knocked off OU. Then you have UT in 3rd behind Alabama and Florida, presumably playing the SEC Champion for the NCAA title while Tech plays Missouri for the Big XXII title. How can a team play for the national championship if it did not win its conference?

Looking at Tech they barely won the game agianst Texas in the last second then they were routed by Oklahoma.Texas had already beaten Missouri;Oklahoma and then narrowly lose to tech. Tech had a win aginst Texas;was routed by Oklahoma. In the end it was the BCS that wanted the Oklahoma verus alabama or flroida. That is why Oklahoma was leaped pass Texas even tho both convincingly won. it was planned IMO for teh same reason that Vince Yuong did not win the heisman in his junior year, The politics of college football within conferences.
