I was afraid of this... Boise State overlooked for Ohio State. Most bowl pairings (except Rose and Championship Game) are not all that great. And the Orange Bowl?? TERRIBLE!

Why are some of these average games being played after New Years Day? Would it be more interesting to see if an unbeaten Boise play a Texas with a chip on its shoulder?

Boise St. will get schooled by TCU.

I'm pissed that Rutgers got screwed. They got a crappy Papa Johns Bowl against NC State. RU is one of the hottest teams in all of college football (6-game winning streak)! And for that, they earn a mediocre Bowl.

TCU? Time will tell, but we can say that the Boise State program has beaten a BCS conference team in a bowl, for instance OU two years ago.

Thats what you get for starting the season losing 5 out of 6 games and losing to a feeble Fresno State team and an even worse Navy team.

Boise State is going to be a great team in the future, BCS bound for sure.

This should come as a surprise to no one.

Politics rears its ugly head. Boise State jobbed. It was only two years previous that Boise State beat Oklahoma in the BCS. Yup, that's the team playing for the national championship next month. So the BCS is created to change all this nonsense. I'll say this one more time, we need a playoff.

The more things change, the more it stays the same. Disgusting, very.

I'm not too excited about it either. It just shows its about the money. I hope Texas will beat the living crap out of Ohio State. I bet the Poinsetta Bowl is pumped though. To get the #9 and #11 teams in the BCS to come to their before Christmas bowl!

Another reason why Div. I-A college football is a joke. Its fixed, and it nothing but a corporate popularity contest. Until there is a legitimate playoff system, college football will be pretty close to irrelevant to me.

Texas would CRUSH Boise State.

Boise State had a nice season, and they are a talented team. However, if they were in the Big Ten or Pac-10, they are a two loss team at best. If they were in the SEC or Big XII, they are a four loss team at best. They are a nice story and a good team, but they do not deserve a BCS birth because they can dominate a mid-major conference.
