Let me give you some insight into the high school debate
The high school I went to won the USA Today National Championship and State Championship my senior year "97" and the State Championship the next year, 98.
We had at least 12 D1 players on those teams that graduated those two years. One ended up being a multiple time All American at Ohio State. He and another player are still playing in the NFL. Many more had great college careers.
Almost all of the players played football after high school. My best friend in High School played probably 10 minutes, and got to go to a 20K+ DIII school for next to nothing, ended up being an All Conference player.
We lived pretty close to Mount Union, which is the best DIII school, and I would be willing to wager those years we could have been competitive, if not won the game against them
It's prpbably hard for you not to think you could have even beat them since your HS team was so superior. But you were superior in your world, your universe. No disrespect, but I'm sure Mount Union would have rolled you guys like a fat dubie. Let's be honest. Do you think if a game like that was ever played that the college team would really let a HS team beat them. Those college MEN would be so pumped up that those HS KIDS would lucky if they didn't end up seriously hurt.
On a similar note, what is the best website to track high school sports on? I've always been curious to see the top high school football teams in the country every year but I'm never able to find it.
i still say the d3 team wins because of line play. a senior d3 lineman will be much bigger and stronger than a hs senior, even if he's a d1 prospect.
Absolute BS

I'd also say there is a difference, some people maybe too navie to see that though. Not a massive difference but for sure a noticable one.
