Alabama got spanked! They are the ones who were taken behind the woodshed, bent over, and spanked really good! Congrats to the Utes, they looked great tonight PLUS it never gets old watching Nick "I will not be the next Alabama Coach" Saban lose! It's been a great year so far.

No kidding. I made fun of my wife for picking Utah in the bowl pick'em thing we are in. Needless to say I am still hearing it from her.

Wow. Undefeated season, and then taking an SEC power to the woodshed for the capper. More than impressive.

I watched Utah beat my Michigan squad (as so many did this year) in the opening game of the season and was impressed by their superior preperation and execution. I knew then they were going to be good, but I never thought they'd do what they did.

Don't know how many of their players will be back next year, but if it's any kind of signifigant amount they should be ranked high and taken seriously as a championship contender. People were waiting to see how they'd fare against a quality opponent. Well, they've sure seen now.......

I bet Nick Saban is probably waking up today and wondering if what he's waking up from was just a bad dream. Just wondering.......

I saw it coming right before the coinflip! Why? As the players were getting positioned for the coin toss that Frank Broyles, the long time Arkansas coach and ABC commentator performed, I could see Alabama's players already yapping at center field at the Ute captains on the field. Oookay? You sure you wanna fire up the opposition and disrespect them, well, go ahead. Utah blew right past them like they were asleep.

To Alabama's credit, they made a game out of it. But Nick Saban knew he was in trouble after the second touchdown. He was stomping down that sideline like a maniac possessed. I don't blame him.

Speaking of Saban, I agree with Synopsis. Dumping a program for an NFL head coaching position only to quit again after having a rough first season (Miami), um, I took a second look at him after that scenario played out. He could have stuck it out and decided to leave for greener pastures again with Alabama.
