those are just examples of high draft picks. USC is the same year in and year out. they play in a crappy conference, and then beat a second rate team from a second rate conference at home and pound their chest claiming to be the best. we hear about how many pros they produce, and I just gave you some examples of those "pros."
Ehh as a Texas fan I can say we have our share of busts, so does every school. Im not one to defend USC but they also had Troy Polamalu and Matt Castle.

mat cassel was a back up wide receiver. see, pete carrol doesn't even know the talent they do have! I am not saying that every player is a bust, but I just gave a list of high draft picks that pretty much suck.

Matt Cassel backed up Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart. I think Pete Carroll did alright with those guys.

It is true that Cassel played a little tight end after losing the starting QB job to Leinart when Palmer left; but he was not a "backup wide reciever." His position was first and foremost backup QB.
