Want to see something sad?

This is Maverick Stadium in Arlington. It is on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington.
http://www2.uta.edu/housing/conferences/images/mav1.jpg (broken link)

A more than adequate football facility with a capacity of 13,000. The playing surface us FieldTurf, and it has fully functional press, coaching and concession facilities (the latter do not require wheels)...

Why is this sad?

UT-Arlington doesn't even have a football program!!!

The 1-AA UT-Arlington Mavericks football team played its last game in 1985. It's truly a shame that the Panthers have a home that is soooo much more sub-standard than a team that doesn't even exist.

I've seen Six-Man stadiums in West Texas that are more adequate...

Hey, I'm from Ft. Worth, so I already know about UTA and their team-less football stadium.
And looking at Mav Stadium, it would be a HUGE improvement for us.... and Mavs stadium looks pretty small as well, even for a I-AA school. Hell, just to have field turf would be a BIG improvement for our stadium.

God, it just makes me even more mad to know that there are stadiums that don't even have tenants that are better than ours.

I've started working on a concept of the new stadium... and here's just an unfinnished example of the first level on the home side.

It's gonna take awhile to finnish....

I feel for you PV students.

I've seen your athletic department web page. Er, if you want to call it that.

Maybe with some wins, the alums will step up support. Well, now that your football team started offering scholarships again, the sky is the limit in that regard!

You could be playing at Husky Stadium in Seattle. What a heap. At least Blackshear doesn't pretend to compete.

Husky Stadium is bad.... for an FBS school, anyway?

We don't even have a stadium, but I'd rather have no stadium than that
