There have been good things said about UConn huskies football in it's transition.

What teams to do you all think can or should move up to, well for lack of a better term "the big leagues".

I think Western Kentucky made the jump this past year, though not as successful as UConn. I have to agree with thefinalsay there, it seems if anyone can do it is App St.

Just so ya know, for Football it is D1 FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) movin on up to D1 FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision). They officially dropped the "A's" a few years ago. You do still see them being used sometimes, even on sports shows.

South Alabama is going to be in D1 FBS in 2013 I believe.

And what tfs said. Its going to be interesting to see how they match up against ECU.

app. state's got some brass balls. going up to play at michigan, and going to LSU. wonder if the game would have been more interesting had LSU gone to boone. boone is way up in the mountains, something LSU hasn't had to deal with.

Schools like Montana, Villanova, UMass and Richmond, among others could make that jump, if they want to.

I remember a few years ago, Georgia Southern looked ready but they disappointed me recently. App. State comes to mind, also Delaware and McNese State aren't bad.

U. Montana could make the jump to the WAC and not miss a beat. Those southern teams may be in for more of a challenge due to the conferences they would be forced to join.

I've heard there was some chat about Montana joining the WAC. I do however think with football it would be a tough jump but give them a few seasons to adjust and they could run it with the likes of Utah State, Idaho,NMSU.
