The 'Bama game was a fluke.

Utah squeaked out at least 5 games last year with a favorable schedule. New Mexico by 3? Give me a break. Tulsa crushed them 56-14. Thats just one example off the top of my head.

Utah was a top 10 team last year, I think putting in the top 5 is actually overrating them.
I have to agree with you about their schedule and squeeking by but I wouldn't go as far as saying the 'Bama game was a fluke.

I really have to laugh at all the excuses being made here about teams losing on the road and if they would have played at home they would have beaten the other team. What a lame excuse. If your a great team you win at home, on the road, at a nuetral site, in space, or where ever! Thats the single most lame excuse in the book. If you need home field to win your team sux.

Are you really going to say that there is no such thing as home field advantage in CFB?

It's worth at least 10 points.

lmao.

I think home field advantage definantly does come into play in college football more than any other sport, yes if you are a great team you'll find ways to win where ever you play but the fact of the matter is, sometimes you don't and a part of that is because of that homefield advantage.

When was the last time a fan made a tackle, or threw a pass or kicked a field goal to win a game? The bottom line is the whole home field advantage is mental and nothing more. If you cant win on the road your garbage and do not deserve to be in any conversation of greatness. Ask Ohio State. LOL

127 Db blaring in your ear when you are trying to run your offense is not mental.

True Penn State is capable of beating anyteam if they do not make mistakes and are playing at home...that said I've personally seen them get beat at home, like the Bama game where PSU missed like a 23 yard field goal. They seem to "choke", sometimes in the big games.

It all depends on your fans, all they do is provide motivation, sound, nothing else and then that energy is channeled down onto the field and throughout the rest of the ground. The rest what happens is down to the players.....and sometimes the refs.

Its as simple as that.
