You do realize that Miami is in the ACC now and not the Big East.

I don't think correcting Matt a THIRD time is really neccessary. Let's give that a rest ok.

To tell ya the truth I forgot about it myself. At least wasnt thinking about that fact when I noticed it was wrong. The only reason I noticed it was wrong was because I know ECU plays them at home (Greenville) this year on ESPN on Thursday night and hoping we can repeat last year's performance.

Good luck, I think our team is gonna go down to Greenville a little pissed off after last year.

Is Pinkney (I think that was your QB) still there? You guys had a strong team at the start of the season last year. I was out-of-town during the game last year and kept checking the score on my cell phone. I thought we had it all wrapped up with the few minutes left, then checked the score later and couldn't believe my eyes!

There are a lot of games both teams have to play before that matchup. But I would expect VT to be favorites. No surprises there. I also expect VT to be a better team than last year. But I expect us to be a better team as well. Almost all of our starters are back and most of the backups had significant playing time last year due to us being devastated with injuries (17 starters missed time last year during the season due to injuries).

Pinkney is back again (6th year at ECU, 3rd year getting PT). The game last year really shouldnt have been as close as it was. We gained around 150 more yards and gave up 16points directly due to turnovers.

The first game I ever attended at ECU, though, was a Thursday night ESPN game in Greenville vs VT. David Garrard vs. Mike Vick. So that one didnt end up well for us.

Washington State OOC for 2009

09/12 Hawai'i (in Seattle)
09/19 SMU
10/31 Notre Dame (in San Antonio)

I am banking on they will be more competitive than the terrible 2-11 record of 2008 - but even my rose-colored glasses sees 3 or 4 wins as a huge acheivement.

Michigan

as a michigan fan i am embarassed by this non-con schedule. although they'll probably lose most of them because rich-rod is a freakin genious. (can we please get another pro style coach)

western michigan
eastern michigan
the highly overrated notre dame
delaware state (mid-season)

we obviously arent competing for anything with this type of schedule.

PLEASE PLEASE beat Notre Dame. You guys looked like you could last year but had way to many turnovers other wise you had them.

And if you thought Akron was tough, our next game is against a team that actually DID finish .500 in the MAC last year, Temple. They were almost good enough to go to a bowl game!

Then we get a little break with a couple of Big 10 games- Iowa and Illinois.

Finally, in our non-conference finale, we have to take on the Eastern Illinois Panthers. They share their name with the Carolina Panthers, who had a 12-4 record in the NFL regular season last year, so you KNOW they're good.

Yes, it looks like PSU will get no rest during September and October. I'm just glad all these non-conference games are at home or we'd really be in trouble.
I'm a fanatical Penn State fan; but we got one heck of an "easy" OOC schedule.......this better be our year...LOL.
