10 wins is an excellent position to be in for Nebraska. When was their last 10 win season?

I'm glad to see them back. Glad to see the Big 12 pick up a bowl win (1-1 now so far).

As crappy as Nebraska's offense was this year, there was really only 2 games where they couldn't move the ball at all - Texas and Oklahoma. They moved it against VT, Iowa State, and to a lesser extent, Texas Tech. The problem was specifically Red Zone offense. They did a little better last night, but still had several drives stall deep in Arizona territory. This should have been 41-0 or worse.

At the beginning of the bowl season, I predicted that the Bowling Green vs Idaho game would be one of the more entertaining matchups of the bowl season.

Idaho 43, BGSU 42

It reminded me of some of the old Las Vegas Bowl match-ups between Toledo and Nevada.

jlawrence is right. Talk about a finish- a touchdown on each end in the last minute of the game. PLUS-it takes some guts to go for the two pointer at the very end. It was proven Idaho's defense could not stop Bowling Green in the 4th quarter, that decision paid off for them. One heck of a game!

2003 I believe. Yeah, it's a nice position, but they really screwed themselves out of a much better position well within their reach.

Once again, that offense is going to have to start taking those decent drives and converting them into points if they ever think they are going to play for a national championship.

I certainly do applaud what Pelini's done in the last two seasons and the progress NU has made throughout this season though.

It won't be as much of a patsy game as when it was scheduled, but I still think Nebraska will dominate them. We need to hurry up and finish these Pederson-made OOC schedules. 3 Sun Belt teams this year, next year another SB, Idaho, and FCS SDSU. Hopefully they will wise up and schedule Boise State for 2011.

New Mexico Bowl: Wyoming 35, Fresno State 28
Las Vegas Bowl: BYU 44, Oregon State 20
Poinsettia Bowl: Utah 37, Cal 27
Armed Forces Bowl: Air Force 47, Houston 20

MWC is now 4-0 in bowl games this season, with one left.

Very interesting.

When I heard the Idaho coach give his post-game interview my draw dropped! If I was going to cast a gangster boss in a film I'd TOTALLY cast him.

Nebraska looked AMAZING last night. Even without Suh their defense is going to be a wall next season. Their defense was disciplined but very physical at the line of scrimmage and able to get good penetration to keep AZ looking absolutely foolish.

UH v. Air Force . . . man, Houston just lost their momentum toward the end of the season. What happened??? They could NOT find a way to defend the option.

Am enjoying a final opportunity to see Toby "White Thunder" Gerhart for the Cardinal. I keep hearing a lot about how if Gerhart does go pro there aren't any pro teams interested in a gritty, tough running back in a passing league. While that may be true I'm hoping that someone will see his potential. Maybe they can convert him to a tight end (don't know how soft his hands are) a la Dallas Clark. I loves me a tough tight end.

Happy New Year's to all of you! Isn't bowl season AWESOME? HUZZAH!
