Nebraska looked AMAZING last night. Even without Suh their defense is going to be a wall next season. Their defense was disciplined but very physical at the line of scrimmage and able to get good penetration to keep AZ looking absolutely foolish.

Two comments:

Acey's voice is not really that deep. That is his voice after four hours of yelling. He was great (and ballsy).

Idaho played WAY OVER their heads this year and "caught up" with a few unsuspecting teams who were expecting to play a 1-10 team. Like Northern Illinois a few years ago, NOONE will be taking them for granted.

Until they find a pass defense, they will be hard pressed to repeat at 8-5.

One more point. I think that Nathan Enderle is one of the most impressive QB in the country. He has impressed me more this year than Colin Kaepernick, who gets a lot more press due to the pistol offense.

MWC is now 4-0 in bowl games this season, with one left.

Very interesting.

In the other direction, the Mid-American Conference is 0-3 and could easily go 0-5 as Northern Illinois faces Southern Florida and Central Michigan faces Troy.

(Personally, I wished N. Illinois would have faced Idaho in the Humanitarian Bowl as their last two meetings have been last minute barn burners.)

Notice what happens when you schedule those walk-thru teams at the beginning of each year? Nebraska is blindsided by conference play and drops a quick 3 games.

I don't think playing push-overs at the beggining of the season helps anyone. If your going to lose any games, do it and do it quick.

But the MWC is a patsy conference, at least that is what I'm told.

Of course!

The only reason why we have this "conference arrogance" is because the BCS tells everyone who's worthy and who's not.

The Mountain West is 4-0, about to go 5-0.....

I just back from El Paso, I was at the Sun Bowl and watched a great game between Oklahoma and Stanford, on the way home I listened to the Auburn and Northwestern game, too bad I couldnt watch it cause it sounded like the best bowl game yet.

Did anyone catch the Cap One Bowl??? Man that field was terrible...bush league stuff. I loved the shots of the "turf guys" scurrying onto the field to put a huge chunk back in place and stamp on it...yeah that really helped!

Disgraceful.

I loved it. Old school. Rough and dirty like the game of football is supposed to be. If you want to watch pretty boys with fake fields and domes so they don't get wet, then go watch the NFL.

TCU and Boise St. should be watching Cincy getting schooled and breathe a sigh of relief they don't have to face a real team. LMAO at Cincy ranked #4, what a joke.

How about Northwestern with the zebras doing everything they can to give them the game losing to Auburn. Bad day for the SEC haters, except for LSU
