That's OK! Why? Because it's more FOOTBALL!

Am stoked for this one! Texas was national champs a few years ago. Saban coached a national champion not long ago.

Alabama? Haven't been national champs since 1992.
Texas? Knows the win against Nebraska was close, too close.

Pizza's in the oven! Beer's in the fridge! I'm ready!

LET'S HAVE SOME FOOTBALL!

Gosh what an incredible letdown this has become. Longhorns 'D has little answer for Alabama. Sucks that McCoy has gone out.

That 49 yard touchdown run for Alabama-YIKES!

Canes is right. First two series Texas D looked good, but Alabama is looking awful tough right now. I thought they might go for it with 33 seconds in the half. Halftime-Alabama 17, Texas 6. Update; 24 to 6. Very poor decision, that shuffle pass.

thought they were going to knock Sabin out with that Gatorade, OMG they nailed that dude in the face with the bucket...he looked pissed. Seems like you have got to know that stuff is going to happen if you win, why would he wear a white shirt.

I hate Texas but I really started pulling for young Gilbert, I love the underdog, and it looked like he might just pull it off. (I happen to live in Gilbert AZ too ironically),

Well, anyway I put an astrix on this game. Unfortually for the Tide, they didnt get Texas at there best.

Bet Boise State could have given Alabama a run for its money. we shall never know

I thought the same thing-he sure had a scowl on his face!

That freshman qb for Texas, um he has pretty good future ahead, doncha think? Credit Texas for coming back after the half, that shuffle pass almost sealed their fate early. Congrats to Alabama. And in the end Texas turned out to be a worthy opponent.

I'd rather have more football with a playoff.

Besides, the +1 plan would still have that 4-5 week layover....

So what should the final polls be?

My vote would be:
1 - Alabama
2 - Boise State
3 - TCU
4- Texas
5 - Florida

There is no reason to think that Boise State wouldn't have played better against Alabama than Texas did. And if you make that assumption then TCU should be ranked above Texas since the BSU/TCU game was a good match-up. Florida looked worse than Texas against Alabama so I would rank Texas higher.
