I'm going to pick Penn State to beat Iowa, but I'm picking Iowa to beat the spread (9 1/2) points. I doubt that any other top 5 team will lose this weekend.

I've made a few friendly bets, but I get totally turned off by "" the spread" .

To me, you either win or you lose and that is what is etched in the standings ( your won /lost record)

When a heavy favorite plays a weeker team, I prefer to bet odds rather than to bet spread.

Horse racing has it correct. You base your bets on the odds rather than by the margin of victory.

I agree, but it will probably be close...PSU has lost 6 of their last 7 games with Iowa. Seems State does not play up to their potential when they play intraconference games.

I agree, but that QB on Arky is pretty darn good!! I think Arky keeps it close.

you are right. They just got pushed up because other people were losing. They should have been around 16 or so...

I am justing hoping it won't be Ala. Roll Tide!

#21 Mizzou up 12-7 at Reno,NV against the Nevada Wolfpack, a much better Wolf Pack team but still alot to work on going into the second half,

we lost our leading rushing on the first play of our offence play, luckily we have one of the better depth charts in College Football.

We'll unfortunantly we scored to go ahead 13-12, 2nd play of their drive they score a 70+ TD pass, then we are on the 2nd and goal on the 2 and we fumble it, would of made it 21-19 with a 2point conversion try. That was no dobut the turning point.

31-13 and 3rd and goal for Nevada, we were definantly looking good there up until that fumble, it has however restored faith.

Make that 31-19. Have 219 rushing yards so far without our leading rusher, something good to take out of it.

Default Florida's Transition

General question, is it true that the mighty Gators were an also ran in the state until just recently? I heard this on another forum saying that they used to be overshadowed by competition. Hard to fathom for a state SEC team.

Me just getting into the sport now, they seems unstoppable and that's saying something given the competition in state ('Noles and the U).
