Why isn't anyone talking about the ridiculous Intentional Grounding call on Pryor and how there wasn't one on Barkley? Come on! Tressel's time is up for sure...the Buckeyes should have went for that last field goal instead of punting...stupid!

ND recruits all over the place so it has it's admirers nationwide at least.

I agree with the assesment that it's one of the few teams that Northeasterners care about, Syracuse will get in there too once they get good again. But it's hard to compete with our pro teams and college hoops.

ND, I respect due to history but they are over rated. But hey, cupcake schedules are the norm across the board unfortunetly

A allot of other big name teams recruit nationally as well, but yet they dont receive the ESPN (lou holtz) and NBC slob fest that Notre Dame receives

Let's not get carried away. IMO, Cal is another team that is consistently overranked.

They've always been able to put up ridiculous numbers on offense. And since ECU cant run the table this year now (lost to WVU sat, why cant we hold on to a lead? Why is the secondary the only area that hasnt gotten better for us in the last 4 years?) I will pull for UH to go on.

I have a feeling Charlie Weis will be looking for work, but given his history that just means more losses.

Should Tim Tebow's stats really count when they play college JV teams? I know of a JC team that can beat the teams that Florida played thus far. He builds up these stats when frankly he's playing against inferior competition!! They should be thrown out, or cut in half.

Go Phillies has it right- Many Catholics like to feel Notre Dame is their team and there may have been a time when Notre Dame actually had White Catholic players. Its a lot easier rooting for Notre Dame than dealing with Catholic scandals such as priests - young boys etc.

I don't hate Notre Dame. They are a pretty good school and run a pretty clean program. Fair is fair and any media bias is not fair. There should be a pre-determined set of standards for air time, based on ratings perhaps combined other factors.

Northman I dare you to make your case that Cal is awlays overrated statistically! Let's see what you have. They have won 5 bowls in a row - in many of them they were the underdog so their year end ratings went up. They are also almost always rated higher in computer rankings such as Sagarin then in the media. Even the year they were ranked #2 at one point they started at #20. When their QB got injured ( and its their fault if they werent deep at QB) they lost several in a row and may have finished unranked. Every other year in recent history they went up. They are in a tough position. USC will be up for them and no matter how tough a game they play vs USC they will be ranked lower if they lose. Oregon having recovered from opening day will be tough at home. Northman let's see your data. Does Cal get on national tv too much for their rankings? MAKE YOUR CASE
