I think this may be an interesting thread; it will be intriguing to see how the predictions "pan" out as the season progresses.

My favorite team is Penn State; I think if their quarterback and receivers "mature" into their positions, than they will be a team to be reckoned with. I believe they will finish in the top ten and maybe even top five.

Also, I must acknowledge that some of their schedule appears, on paper, to be pretty weak; but I'll stick by my prediction.

North Carolina Tarheels. I think they can finish in the Top 25, but unfortunately, I dont see a Top 10 finish. However, I think we could challenge for the ACC title. Gonna have to rely on the D for the first 3 or 4 games til the young Oline and WR's get adjusted.

Favorite would be Pitt.
Top 10, I don't think so. If they make the top 25 they will have done well.
One can always hope though.

I'd say they have a shot at the top 25...they are ready for a rebound.

I always liked Pitt...hopefully they and Penn State will renew their rivalry...it was a shame they stopped it. I think Pitt may have a good season...seemed they had a few bad breaks last year.

I would also like to see Pitt v Penn State renewed on an equal basis.

I grew up in Pittsburgh so I remember them well from the late 50's on. My Dad had a friend that was a ticket usher and take me along on game day for free. Saw Penn State, Syracuse, Notre Dame.... lot of fun. They were pretty good until the mid 60's... Mike Ditka, Paul Martha... then they were horrible until Tony Dorsett came along.

Oh well... would love to see them surprise people this year! And thanks!

OU. Yes. No doubt whatsoever. I'm thinking 14-0.
