Your right, but it is what it is. Boosters and fans only care about one thing- winning. And an Oregon team without L. Blount running the ball has almost a 0% chance of winning. Im sure Oregon will do everything they can to do anything but kick him off the team.

He also tried to go after fans. That makes it a little worse.

ESPN has just reported that the University of Oregon has suspended LeGarrette Blount for the remainder of this season.

glad to see that the coach has some class. Had he not done this, this douchebag would have done the same type thing in another game. When it's time to throw the trash out, you throw it out.

While not a technical whiz on the thread tools, I meant to merge the two LeGarrette Blount threads, and instead I screwed up and locked it instead. My error. Will keep this open, though.

I read your opinion in the other thread and it's an interesting take on what happened. I agree...players get off with dui's and fights on campus for far less than this kid did for a punch in the face.

All these people acting like this is the most horrendous act must be living in a bubble. He was simply antagonized while already upset and responded.

He was made an example of because of the stage it happened on and for the university to save face.

Eddie Pleasant and Jamere Holland, members of Oregon football team in 2008 and were charged with reckless driving and drag racing. They were racing a vehicle when they lost control and hit an on coming car. They missed ONE GAME and that was because they were hurt from the accident, no suspension.

So a guy punches another guy in his face and his is clearly fine, but gets suspended a whole season. Two guys drag race hit another car and get no suspension.

As far as the fans, I woudn't have felt sorry for them if he hit them. They are classless, to be shouting who knows what at him. In the video there is one guy following Blount in the stands screaming at him. Is that behavior acceptable to you? Just because you have a ticket doesn't mean you are free to verbally assault some one.
.
I still don't know why you are bringing up something about DUI's, and now drag racing. I wasn't even talking about the suspensions anyway.

As far as class, yes the fans were being classless, so you are saying because of that it would have been okay for Blount to act even more classless by totally losing his cool and committing assault AGAIN?

Are you kidding me? Since others seem to be following just fine (jbird82)

I honestly could not make it any simpler. The punishment does NOT fit the crime going of of past offenses and suspension the University of Oregon and Pac 10 has handed down.

If those same fans were in a bar how many of them would have the balls to say what they were saying last night to his face? I would go with none. Growing up I heard a phrase, make sure your mouth doesn't write checks your fists can't cash.
