Why do people keep saying BSU had it coming? Because we won? Because a Wac team embarased a PAC-10 team contending for a conference championship? Maybe because we did it twice in a row?

That dude was talking mad **** before the game enough that the ESPN guys were talking about it even before the end of the game. Normal people can restrain themselves after trash talk. A lot of guys react to it though which is pretty normal. This guy not only reacted with emotion but then went after his own team mates and fans, even after cops came in. This guy is crazy.

He may have screwed up his entire career because of this.

On a side note, to anyone who calls these guys @ussys, what sport is that you play? Internet porn?

First off its not like the Boise St player had his back turned, he turned for a brief second not even all the way as Im sure he still saw the punch coming out of the corner of his eye. Second if anything the Boise St. player is a @ussy, you dont walk up to someone, slap them on the shoulder, then talk trash to them and then not even put your guard up. Thats like rule # 1 in fighting, so dont call LaGarette Blount a @ussy just because the Boise St. player obviously does not know how to fight. If anything the Boise St. team are a bunch of punks as well as they just looked and stood there in shock. If Boise St would have been a team like Georgia or Texas the whole team would have jumped on that dude after he hit their teammate. If you walk up to me, slap me on my shoulder, then talk crap in my face Im squaring up with you instantly, Im not going to stand there with my hands down at my sides as they do me no good all the way down there if somone decided to haul off and hit me, if my hands are already up I can at least defend myself, and not end up getting knocked to the ground like that Boise St. player did. Not saying what LaGarrette Blount did was right, but the Boise St. player should have at least been able to back up the *hit he was talking. I have no remorse for anyone who runs their mouth, but cant back it up, if the Boise St player knew he couldn't fight, he should have never ran his mouth in the first place
WTF sort of statement is so, so Blount can fight he can run his mouth??? Please.

I am convinced the ONLY reason this guy got a full season is because this was on TV and the first big game of the season. You cannot tell me this offense is worse than a DUI, which a Texas player was arrested for this season and will be playing this year.

I think the fans wanted no part of him, given the look of fear on their face and seeing them lean back when he moved at them. It's easy for these guys to talk crap in the stands but when they were going to be challenged on their words they show their true colors. Would it be smart for him to do that? No, but these fans who think their ticket allows them to say anything they want are MORONS.

Well when you spend most of the match laying on the ground hugged up with another grown man I think nothing will suprise you(or any of the drunk people who would pay to watch it live in person)

Was it a sucker punch? Yea, but the dude clearly egged him on. To quote a line from Friday: You got knocked the f*ck out"
Aren't you the guy in the Favre threads always talking about class and sportsmanship? And you are here defending this ghetto thug piece of $hit?? Figures...

You mean the true colors of being p*ss? Blount already did that by not being man enough to punch somebody who is actually looking, not to mention was wearing his helmet at the same time. Then he wants to go after his own teammate, then after that, fully padded he wants to jump in the stands?

Wow, you sure know how to spot a winner!

I'm not defending. If you had READ my post you would have realized the penalty he was given was more sever than most get for DUI's. Are you saying you think a DUI is less severe than this? In Georgia if your arrested for alcohol related charges you miss 10% of the season. So the entire season for punching some one in the face who had no long lasting effect vs 1-2 games for drinking and driving. Hmmm no your right that sounds right

there's no rules about shouting at a player from the stands.
