How will the Appalachian State Mountaineers fare September 1 in Ann Arbor? They are the defending Division 1 Football Playoff Subdivision Champions (two straight titles), have 14 straight wins in 2006 (one more than Boise State) and virtually no one wanted to play them this fall - they only now finalized their 2007 schedule.

they simply won't have the speed and athleticism to keep up. plus, being a 1aa team playing against a solid 1a team in a loud stadium can be rather intimidating.
however, i think that they will do better than expected because 1) they have a history of winning and have a winning attitude 2) they want to prove everyone wrong and 3) they have nothing to lose and will play with more emotion than michigan will.

but it won't be a close game.

21-20 ASU, followed by Lloyd "Christmas" Carr sobbing into Chad Henne's ample bosom and the 1997 Heisman committee admitting they pulled a Dade County on all of Peyton's votes and stripping the trophy from that no-talent hack Charles Woodson.

Michigan will smoke Appalachian State. Breston, Henne and Hart will work them.

Few points:

#1 It looks like this game will be on the "BigTenNetwork" so few will get to see it. The "BigTenNetwork" is a joke and should not exist.

#2 Michigan has a lot of holes this year that the media is overlooking.

#3 Despite #2, I would bet large sums of money that Michigan wins by at least 20 or more.

P.S. One poster mentioned Breaston, he was drafted and is no longer at UofM.
