Who is bigger in the Sunshine State (in terms of fandom?)

I would think it depends on the decade. 90s= FSU & 2000s= UF

I agree with Acuda, depends on the decade. How about with all the changes at both schools who is in a better position to win their conference?

Florida easily, IF they can get past Alabama, they still are Gold Standard.
FSU I don't see yet, all the press guys want em, they want em BAD, but I don't see them with their Defense holes and breaking in (kinda) new Coach immediately turning it up against a deeper ACC, although admittedly only BC and Clemson really pose a threat in the division. But the opposite Division opponent (UNC, GT, VT or Miami) will be tough.

UF won it's first national title in '96 by beating... FSU. It wasn't all Bowden worship all the time in time Sunshine Sate. Having attended UF in the late 80's I can say that was a rough time for Florida Football. But now... it's UF no question at all.

Who's going to have more academically ineligibile players play? Who's going to have more arrests?
Good question but as usual they'll both be locks to be in the top 5 in the nation in those categories once again.

That's harsh dude.
I just watched the Choke at Doak game highlights. MAN, that was a game!
(Sigh, if only UVA could challenge Tech so readily )

I hate to say it because I hate them, but I say FSU is bigger, but not by a lot though. I say that as a person who loves the Hurricanes and growing up in Miami. We had lots of FSU fans living in Miami where I lived at and every once in a while you see FSU license plates and stuff in Miami. Then I moved to Orlando and noticed lots of FSU and Gators stickers on cars. It was about a 50/50 split in the Orlando area from my experience. But in Miami I really didn't notice as many Gator fans as there were FSU fans. That's why I would say FSU even though Miami Hurricanes are better than both of them....lol....but If I had to choose between Gators and FSU in games I always GO GATORS....lol
p.s. ..I lived in Lake City, White Springs, Tallahassee, Miami, and Orlando areas when I was in Florida.

I just re-read other posts on here and I see people who are saying which teams they think are better based off of success. Well, I thought the OP had said to base the vote off of fandom so that's why I wrote what I wrote
