You may look into the schools with majors in wildlife, which appear to be a mixture of zoology/biology, vet. tech. and natural sciences. This is probably more common in larger state universities (such as Big 10 or Big 12) with agricultural and veterinary schools. Since these are large schools, they would have a full computer science department too.

Video game design is a pretty specialized segment, though since so many people want to get in. Usually those who are really engrossed in it as part of their lives tend to get positions in this field. I met someone who got a job in the field, after finishing school, at a somewhat well known company, and he started by doing level design in his spare time. That's something you don't really learn in school, you just do it by immersing yourself in it for the fun of it.

Most likely he will want to do something else by the time he is a Senior.
