Go with International Business or Hotel Management....the University of North Texas in Denton is just 50 miles North of Dallas....that's what I advise.
State universities have less and less money every year. I would try some private university like SMU, Baylor, TCU, etc. to try for scholarships but you have to be a stellar student.
Budget : As low as possible.. College : As best as possible Scholarship: Must Course/Major: I have a few options in mind but not yet finalized. U can help me choose the Major too
1. Conflict Resolution / Peace Studies
2. Psychology & Behavioral Sciences
3. Hotel and Hospitality Management
4. International Business
5. Advertising & Public Relations
Thank you..
I know you are asking about Dallas, but if you also consider Houston (250 miles south) then the University of Houston fits the bill. The Psychology, Hotel Mgmt (they have a Hilton Hotel on campus for teaching hotel management students), and Business college are very well respected. The campus is the 2nd most international campus in the nation meaning there are a lot of students from overseas with the most probably coming from Asia. And finally if you get homesick, the southwest side of Houston has a neighborhood known as "little India."
I would advise you to take the M.S. degree in Psychology & Behavioral Sciences off your list. It's not a very marketable degree. I know that because I have a bachelor's and master's degree in Psychology and worked in the Psychology field for over 15 years. After I left my previous employment in that field a few years ago it was very difficult to find similar work. The master of social work degree (MSW) is generally a more marketable degree with very similar career options, and your employment options would be much broader. If I were you, I would focus on the International Business or Hotel and Hospitality Management graduate degree. After reading the input above, it sounds like the University of Houston might be a good choice for those degrees. If you want to stay in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the University of North Texas in Denton, UT-Dallas, or UT-Arlington might be good options. Good luck to you!

Hello Dave. Thanks for your input but have i mentioned that i've already got a B.E (CSE) & M.B.A (HR) degrees in my belt? I suppose doing a MSW isn't a great idea or is it? I'm just so lost with confusion. I'm a natural with motivating people and i do love working with people. Just yesterday, i thought of getting into "Counseling Psychology"... Isn't it good for me? What do U say?
If you already have an MBA, then why get a degree in hospitality management or international business? MBAs are very flexible. I don't know how accepting employers are of Indian degrees, though.

See, that's the issue i'm facing.. I do have an M.B.A. degree in Human Resources passed out with a distinction and the problem is that the degree is only recognized in India.. Definitely not in USA. I guess U have understood that already and that's why i'm looking for a graduate program in the USA so that my degree will be recognized on a global level..
