The NYT published this list of schools that offer good merit aid. This is a great resource for students of upper middle class families who will not qualify for federal fianancial aid.

I'm pretty impressed with my alma mater...looks like they're still offering, on average, merit aid that's the equivalent of half the sticker price.

This is a great resource. Look closely at the percent of students getting merit aid though. Some school boast high merit awards, going to 1% of the class. It's still a great starting point. I have found some discrepancies, for the better, from this list and schools we've looked at though so make sure you check out the websites for the schools too.

I like that you can sort the list too-just click on the header for a column.
