Where is your link for that? Is it in the OP's articles somewhere?

Shouldn't be a surprise considering the population share of Hispanics and Asians is going up while the share for Whites and Blacks is going down.

That's where Hispanic families are heading too. A Pew study released a few weeks ago showed that Hispanics had passed barely whites for college matriculation rates in 2013 (mostly due to a huge surge in 2-year school attendance after high school).
Hispanics still have a high dropout rate for K-12, but for those who do graduate high school the college matriculation rates pair up with Asians, much higher than whites and blacks.

It makes sense that as our population in general becomes more diverse, so will our population of college graduates.

I would like to address the following statement:

"In several states, the meaning of the word "minority" could change. By 2019-20, the report says, nonwhite students will account for a majority of public high-school graduates in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and Nevada. (California, the District of Columbia, Texas, and three other states have already reached "majority-minority" status.)"

I wonder about how many hispanics here in south Florida are nonwhite. Hispanic is not a race. In my area (Fort Lauderdale) the majority of hispanics are white. It is very difficult to tell which blond haired blue eyed children as hispanic and which are considered white. I would love to see hispanic removed as a race.

I would love that too....it is too general. Many times I skip the question and move on.

Hispanic isn't a race in the most recent census; it's separate, you can be Hispanic of any race. Races are white, black, American Indian/Alaskan native, and a bunch of different Asian and Pacific Islander races broken out separately. I think the older categories had them combined so you could be "white, not of Hispanic origin", "black, not of Hispanic origin", or Hispanic (plus the others... don't know what an Asian of Hispanic origin put..)
