She can always start at Lindenwood and transfer if she is more comfortable next year or the year after.

Given what you have told us about her past, the smaller campus and the smaller feel of the St. Charles area is probably a good idea. People get way too caught up in "rankings" and don't really take other things into consideration. Will she really feel comfortable walking around the St. Louis U campus, I'm guessing not. I also think that if she had problems, there would be more of a support system on the smaller campus, she would get to know more people in her dorm, etc. that could keep an eye on her...that kind of thing would probably be invaluable to her vs a "ranking".
